Avatrol Warning

Hi People,

I just wanted to take 5 minutes to warn you about buying medication and herbal solutions from rogue Amazon and eBay vendors. Last month I needed to purchase my quarterly supply of my hemorrhoid supplements (One is called Avatrol and the other is called Venapro).

Anyway, I went online and searched for the products and was surprised to find that there was an Amazon advert for both of these products at the top of the search engine page. I was a bit surprised as both of these products are manufactured in the US and I've never been able to purchase them from auctions or in fact anywhere else other than the official distributor's website.

As the price for both the Venapro and the Avatrol treatments was much lower than I am used to paying, I was a bit silly and decided to order both products from Amazon and I was quite happy because I got free shipping as I have Amazon Prime. This is where things started to go horribly wrong unfortunately. My products arrived quickly the following day but just as quickly I realized they were not the products I had ordered. The packaging was completely different than I am used to. I contacted the seller and was advised the products were "generic" versions of the supplements and that is why they were cheaper.

Apparently Venapro and Avatrol are both brand names so it seems some sellers are cashing in by using their names. The only plus-side was that Amazon quickly allowed me to return the products and I got a refund. I then bought both the Avatrol and Venapro from my usual supplier.

The moral of the story is to always check if you are buying directly from Amazon of from a third-party Amazon Marketplace seller.

Thanks for reading and take it easy!
